Prayer Before Mass

Almighty and merciful Father, grant that I may assist at this holy Mass

with reverence, attention, and love.

Unite my prayer to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, Your Son.

I offer You His obedience, thanksgiving, reparation, and praise,

for the needs of the Church, for the living and the dead,

and for the grace to do Your will. Amen.

Entrance: Lord, gather Your Church and prepare my heart to worship You.
Liturgy of the Word: Speak, Lord; Your servant is listening. Give me grace to keep Your word.
Offertory: Receive me with these gifts—my work, joys, suffering, and whole life.
Consecration: My Lord and my God. I adore You, truly present among Your people.
Before Communion: Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof; only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
Dismissal: Send me to live what I have received and to serve You in my neighbor.

O Jesus, I believe that You are truly present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I adore You as my Lord and my God.

Increase my faith, enliven my hope, and kindle my charity.

Cleanse my heart from every attachment to sin,

and prepare within me a dwelling worthy of Your mercy. Amen.

Come, O Jesus, my Savior and my life.

My soul longs for You as the thirsty earth longs for water.

Come to strengthen my weakness, heal my wounds, and draw me into Your love.

Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof,

but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

I come not trusting in my merits, but in Your infinite mercy. Amen.

My Jesus, I thank You for coming to me in this holy sacrament.

Let Your presence remain in my thoughts, words, and actions.

May this Communion deepen my union with You and with Your Church.

Guard me from sin, strengthen me in charity,

and bring me at last to the banquet of eternal life. Amen.

O Lord, I offer and consecrate to You my body and soul,

my senses, faculties, desires, actions, and sufferings;

all that I am and all that I have.

Possess me wholly, direct me according to Your will,

and use my life for Your glory and the good of my neighbor. Amen.

Remain with me, Lord Jesus.

Keep alive the grace You have given and let me never abandon You.

When I am weak, be my strength; when distracted, recall me;

and bring to completion the good work You have begun. Amen.
