Prayer to the Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear,

to whom God’s love commits me here,

ever this day be at my side,

to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Holy Angel, to whose care God in His mercy has committed me,

I return you my sincere and humble thanks.

Continue your care and defend me against the enemies of my soul.

Remove from me the occasions of sin;

obtain for me a constant readiness to follow divine inspiration;

protect me especially at the hour of death;

and then conduct me to the dwelling of eternal rest,

where in your blessed company I may praise our Creator forever. Amen.

Holy Angel, go before me on the way.

Guard all who travel, keep us from danger of body and soul,

guide our decisions, and bring us safely to our destination.

May every journey lead us nearer to God. Amen.
